Heart Surgery

Last night David Letterman was bragging about how he had survived 7 years since major by-pass surgery on his heart. It seemed to me that 7 years wasn't really that long. I had my first go-round of by-pass in the summer of 1973 - seven years. It was done again in October 1980. I thought at the time that 7 years wasn't very long. The second procedure did well for past over 25 years. I did have a couple of stents put in last September as a result of some pressure and angina. The symptoms at the time were not life threatening, but it seemed wise to the cardiologist to do something. So far - so good. I look forward to many more years with family and friends.
