Literary Pursuits

Last night I went to the local community theatre for a production of "Out of Order" - a British Comedy. It was pretty well done and with a very appreciative audience. Their laughing often drowned out the next line or two. I sat in the usual place, but there was a distinct difference since the seat next to me was unoccupied. That kept my own enjoyment at low key.

Earlier in the day I finished Blood Brothers (earlier Blog) and began a Tony Hillerman novel. I've always enjoyed his writing. This one was published a couple of years ago - Skeleton Man. As usual there is a lot of Hopi and Navajo background.

At church this morning I find that I am still in mourning. Some lines from very familiar hymns are difficult to sing anymore. I'm sure that Easter will be a mixed blessing this year - all about rising from the dead. If ony . . .
