46 years ago I wrote the following poem. I didn't plan it or give it a lot of thought. It was one of those things that just "came to me". Today I shared it with my senior citizen friends at Church at our fairly regular last Thusday luncheon.

Advent I

GOD
Enmanned,
Is often more than I
can understand.
And, yet at Christmas
time each year the
beauty and the wonder
of His birth ignites
my heart and in that
Holy fire, once more,
I am a child myself
and do believe the
Mystery -- Emmanual!!
God with us!
