You Can Win Some

The last major post on this site was a couple of weeks ago when I suggested that one can't win them all. It's still true. While Marshall is still losing (last nigh to Southern Mississippi), and Rocky Mountain College lost for the umpteenth time against the Butte Miners - The Red Sox came back from a 3-2 deficit to win the American League championship. The Patriots won and Denver won on a last second field goal - actually there were 2 seconds left on the clock. So!! You can win some.

The past week-end was also a winner when a host of RMC students of the 1970's returned to campus for reunion. I found that hose cute chicks of the 70's that I wouldn't dare have touched are now ready to give the old man a hug. And I have some suspicion that I've always been an old man to them. "Why, Professor Taylor, you haven't changed a bit." Oh? Did I always look like I was 83? It was great to be with them again, and I actually recognized some of them without checking the name tag.

Speaking of 83, you've passed the benchmark of living longer than any Taylor male in how many generations?

That would be at least three: Alfred B., my grandfather: Clarence L., my father; and myself. We don't have death dates for earlier generations. Just names and approx. birth years.
